Exciting New Details on Disneyland's Tropical Hideaway

September 15, 2018

A new area of Adventureland in Disneyland has been discovered and will soon be ready for all you adventurers to explore! Announced earlier this year, the Tropical Hideaway will take over the former Aladdin’s Oasis as a new “exotic marketplace.” The new area will be nicely situated between “Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room” and the Jungle Cruise.

The open-air dock of the Tropical Hideaway will allow guests to spot some of their favorite skippers and enjoy the tropical views of the Jungle Cruise! With these views and the glowing tiki torches illuminating the hideaway at night, this area is sure to be a hit among guests and explorers alike. And because of the close proximity to the Jungle Cruise, maybe we will even be able to catch some fun puns!

The Tropical Hideaway will not only be a unique place to relax and explore. This marketplace will feature many delicious treats, snacks and beverages skippers have brought back from their journeys at the Jungle Cruise.

Some confirmed goods we can expect include a chilled ramen salad and three different varieties of bao buns - Kaffir Lime Chicken Bao, Spiced Vegetable Bao and Bulgogi Beef Bao. Of course, we can’t forget about the sweets! The Sweet Pineapple Lumpia, filled with pineapple and cream cheese, will be one of the delicious treats we can find at the eatery.

Guests will have the opportunity to try these food offerings and more once the Tropical Hideaway opens later this year. I know I’m excited to taste these appetizing new treats and to hang out in the tropical, adventurous atmosphere that the Hideaway is sure to have!

We will update you with any new details and an opening date once they are released.
