The Mickey’s Halloween Party season for 2018 has begun at Disneyland and Halloween Time at the parks is in full swing! The first party took place on Wednesday, September 19 and we have some fun details on what you can expect at the special event this year!

During Mickey’s Halloween Party, guests can dress up in costumes (yep, even those older than 14!), trick or treat for candy and snacks, watch the Frightfully Fun Parade and Halloween Screams Fireworks show, and meet some of their favorite characters. Exclusive to the Halloween party, the Disney Villains will take over Town Square and transform it into Villains Square. Of course, some of our favorite classic characters will be dressing up, including Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, and Daisy. If you head to Toontown an hour before the party starts, you can catch Mickey in his Zorro costume and Minnie in her candy corn costume! Some surprise characters have also been found hanging out at Disneyland during Mickey’s Halloween Party this year, including the bride from Haunted Mansion, Constance Hatchaway, as well as the Mansion’s daisy-skirted tightrope walker!

The Frightfully Fun Parade features Jack and Sally from “The Nightmare Before Christmas,” several ghosts and gravediggers who have escaped from the Haunted Mansion for the night, as well as a slew of different villains, including Dr. Facilier, Ursula, Lady Tremaine and her daughters, Captain Hook, the Queen of Hearts, Governor John Ratcliffe, Hades, Cruella De Vil, the Evil Queen, Frollo, and Jafar. New this year, Disney Junior’s Vampirina makes an appearance in the Frightfully Fun Parade as well! Don’t forget about Halloween Screams, the fireworks show hosted by Jack Skellington!

If you’re a fan of the Dapper Dans in Disneyland then you won’t want to miss the Cadaver Dans as they float down the foggy Rivers of America and perform some spooky tunes! Along with the trick or treating and entertainment provided during Mickey’s Halloween Party, guests can still enjoy some of their favorite attractions and may even find that the rides have shorter lines than during normal park hours. If you want to stay in the spooky Halloween mood as you go on some rides, be sure to check out the Halloween overlays, such as Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy.
