It’s never too early for Halloween —not at the Disneyland Resort, anyway. From Sept. 7 through Oct. 31, Halloween Time festivities are haunting Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Between tasty treats, spooky decorations, and chillingly fun attractions, there’s something for everyone this season. Of course, Mickey and his friends want in on the fun, too! Here’s a look at how some of your favorite characters have dressed to celebrate Halloween this year.
Right on Main Street, U.S.A., you can find classic Disney characters dressed to the nines.

Mickey is dressed as a vampire but he also reminds me of a cheery “The Nightmare Before Christmas”-esque Pumpkin King!

Minnie, dressed as a witch, shares a color scheme with Mickey as well as the same pumpkin charm.

Man and mouse’s best friend has a vampire collar and bat-shaped name tag.

There are many jack-o-lanterns adorning Main Street this time of year but only one of them is famous for his temper!

Spooky scary skeletons send shivers down your spine… but this one might be a little too goofy to be scary.

CHiPs (and Dale) in action. Years past have seen Chip as a cop and Dale as a bandit but lately they’ve both been on the right side of the law.
Also on Main Street, you can find several Disney Villains, including Cruella DeVille, Jafar, and the Queen of Hearts. Tucked away in New Orleans Square you can meet Jack Skellington and Sally from “The Nightmare Before Christmas.”

On Buena Vista Street, you can find many of the same characters as on Main Street, but in different Halloween costumes! These costumes match the 1920s and 1930s theming of Buena Vista Street.

Mickey is vampire over here, too, but he’s wearing his regular Buena Vista attire underneath. A couple other characters do this as well. This matches pretty well with the period theming, in my opinion, and gives their costumes a homemade feel.

Minnie has modified her usual flapper style to become a chic fortune teller!

Donald is the cutest devil you’ve ever seen. Pictured here in front of Trolley Treats, maybe he’s aiming to get a head start on trick or treating this year?

Over his blue and green dapper attire, Goofy is a silly patchwork ghost.
Unfortunately, I was not able to get a picture of Daisy Duck on Buena Vista Street but she is wearing a purple witch dress with yellow stars this year!

Don’t limit yourself to Buena Vista when it comes to Halloween characters. Moving over to Cars Land, you’ll find that Radiator Springs and its residents have fully committed to decorating for ‘Haul-O-Ween!’
Vampire Mater at Halloween Time | © Tabitha Anctil
That’s right, Lightning McQueen and Mater can also be found in Halloween attire. McQueen is a superhero and Mater, as seen in much promotional material, is a purple vampire. I didn’t get pictures, but Red the firetruck can be found dressed as a clown, Cruz Ramirez is dressed as a pirate, and DJ has a massive mohawk as part of a punk rocker costume.
Which character’s Halloween costume is your favorite? Do you love Vampire Mater as much as I do? Leave a comment down below! Happy (early) Halloween!
