Avengers: Endgame is here and this isn’t the end, right?

The Avengers 4 trailer dropped this morning and just like you, we're super excited!

Let's talk about the title — “Avengers: Endgame.” Yikes! With a title like this, it’s nerve wracking to think about whether your fave is gonna survive this one (I’m looking at you Tony and Steve).

The first thing we see in the trailer is Tony Stark recording what we presume to be a farewell message to Pepper in preparation for death. After the events of “Avengers: Infinity War,” Tony was stranded in space, and now he’s just about to run out of oxygen.

The trailer goes on to show some *scary* imagery, including a Thanos-crow as a throwback to the original comics. Black Widow reminds the viewers of the events from the last film (Spoiler alert: Thanos succeeded in wiping out 50% of the population). After Thanos's devastating success, he's moved onto a farm, and it's ironic that he's trying to cultivate life after destroying so many lives.

Captain America takes over narrating the trailer and explains how everyone lost a part of themselves after the snap, and he whips out a picture of Agent Peggy Carter (*sob*).

We then cut to a scene in which Black Widow reassures that “this” (we’re assuming their plan) is going to work, and Captain says, “I know it is, because I don’t know what I’m going to do if it doesn’t.”

The Avengers logo and title card flash on the screen only to be shown security footage of Scott Lang outside the Avengers HQ that’s being watched by Captain and Black Widow. In the video Scott humorously reminds Steve and Natasha that he met them a few years ago in Germany during the fight in “Captain America: Civil War.” This is hella confusing because in “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” Scott became trapped in the quantum realm after the snap, so we’re aren’t 100% sure that we’re seeing the real Scott Lang.

“Avengers: Endgame” will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo and is expected to be released in April 26, 2019.
